Retouch workflow

I included a dedicated subpage highlighting my Retouch workflow skills to showcase my relevance for the job at Publicis Groupe Hungary.

Starting from a raw photo

For the purpose of demonstration, I have selected a self-portrait that I captured using my Canon 6D camera a few years ago, without utilizing any professional settings.

Cleaning

As a first step, I cleaned the face and removed the red skin surfaces.

Identifying the local brightness problems

I used the Dodge and Burn technique to make the photo softer.

Making the skin transitions softer

I achieved this using the Frequency Separation technique.

Light and focus globally

I used Dodge and Burn technique at a larger scale for more volume and contrast.

Sharpening

Before sharpening, I made some facial hair and eye bag correction, and added grain to areas with texture loss.

Colour adjustment

Playing with colors to achieve the wanted result.

Concepting

After finalizing the classical beauty retouch phase, I took the model retouching to the next level to enhance the image's overall interest.

Final image

In the final step, I integrated the model into an imaginary cover.
